A mom who is 37 years old made a fake social media account as an 11-year-old kid, tried to be a prey of some pedophiles. Within minutes of the publish of the account, there are lots of responses already.
Social media supposed to be a tool to improve communications. It can also shorten the distance between people. We also cannot live without it during the COVID-19 period. We have fun on our social media networks all the time.
Social media is just a tool. The pedophile is a disorder. We need to separate this into two different problems. First, we need to of course protect the minorities. Secondly, the exist of the pedophiles is also a problem of our society. Did they get abused when they were young? Did they experience anything that made them a pedophile? There are lots of on-going researches happening around the world. We will leave this to our scientists.
I believe social media is still a good tool to improve communication, however, stop letting your kids use them before they know how to build up a trustworthy friendship or relationship.
However, sometime adult cannot even tell the differences. 😏
